Tara-Jean Popowich
Tara-Jean Popowich is most known for winning “So you think you can dance Canada” Season 2. Since the show she has been based out of NYC and now Los Angeles. During her time in NYC she was “Carly Rae Jepsen’s” Choreographer and dancer seen on “Jimmy Fallon” and “Live with Kelly”. Most Recently Tara-Jean is a dancer for Nike, Pharrells music video “Happy”, Turn it up American convention tour, choreographer for “So you think you can dance” Ukraine and special guest performer, choreographed and performed for Ballet Africa, IDS instructor in Madrid Spain, yearly performer with “SYTYCD” US All-stars in China, and has been shooting a movie in Scotland, details and premiere announced shortly. Tj has taught throughout Canada and the US, India, Paris, Ukraine, Africa, Italy, Spain, Bahamas, Germany, London, and China . . .
Alex Wong
Alex Wong was born in Canada and began his tap and jazz traning at the age of seven. At age ten, he started his ballet studies with the Goh Ballet Academy in Vancouver, Canada. In 2000, Alex won two Junior World Titles in Tap and Showdance. Awarded with the Royal Academy of Dancing Solo Seal, Alex won the Audience Choice Award and was a Bronze Medallist in the 2003 Genee International Ballet Competition. In 2004, he became the first Canadian to win the Prix de Lausanne competition in Switzerland, and later that year joined the American Ballet Theatre Studio Company . . .
Jamie Hodgins
Jamie Hodgins is a highly respected performer, producer, director, and choreographer based in Toronto, originally from Ottawa, Ontario.
A top 5 male finalist on CBC’s inaugural season of TRIPLE SENSATION, a national search for Canada’s next triple-threat star, Jamie has since performed for global icons including Madonna, Ariana Grande, Nick Jonas, Kiesza, Fefe Dobson. His on-screen credits include featured dancer roles in Disney’s CAMP ROCK 2 (alongside Demi Lovato and the Jonas Brothers), and the final Broadway professional production of HAIRSPRAY starring George Wendt. He has also appeared in projects for History Television, TVO, CBC, YTV, and the MuchMusic Video Awards.
As a director and producer, Jamie has collaborated with acclaimed talents such as Hailey Bieber, Colin Mochrie, The Toronto Symphony Orchestra, The Mini Pop Kids, Johnny Orlando, The National Ballet of Canada, and RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars winner, Jimbo. Noteworthy credits include associate producing for one of Canada’s first large-scale virtual pandemic concerts featuring Jessie Reyez (in partnership with Live Nation and Verizon), and choreographing for the Emmy-nominated Treehouse web series Miss Persona.
Jamie’s production expertise spans international stages—from Toronto to Hong Kong to Australia—and major cultural events including Toronto Kids Fashion Week, Canada’s Dance Festival (HIP HOP 360), and War Child’s annual virtual fundraiser. He’s worked with celebrated artists such as Sarah McLachlan, Chantal Kreviazuk, and Sting, and can be seen in this year’s Canadian feature film follow up to the hit film Blackberry; “Nirvana the band, the show, the movie.”
His commercial portfolio features campaigns for leading brands such as Superbowl commercials for Pepsi, Felix, other spots for Tiffany & Co., Ulta Beauty, Eucerin, Wegovy, Sick Kids, Walmart, TD, and RBC. He has directed and produced over 100 pieces of branded content for K-tel’s Mini Pop Kids, and served as associate producer for multiple music videos by Canada’s Drag Race winner, Priyanka.
Jamie’s presence in episodic content includes CBC’s Gangnam Project, exploring the lives of aspiring K-pop performers, and as a Hollywood North director on CTV’s The Amazing Race Canada.
Currently, Jamie is preparing to launch REEL Talent, a touring, content-creation-based dance competition that merges his creative vision with decades of professional experience. As Executive Director of the International Competitive Dancer Registry (ICDR), Jamie is leading the charge to bring long-overdue fairness, protection, and safety to the competitive dance world—an industry that shaped his own journey from dancer to visionary.
